Today’s post comes from Bethany over at Diary Of A Newly Wed.
Take it away, Bethany! :D
I am very excited to be a guest blogger today here on Meet Virginia. I discovered her blog just a couple months ago and between her great photos, creative ideas, and engaging way of writing- I have been hooked. I thought quite a bit about what I should share on my guest post today, and in the healthy eating spirit of Miss Meet Virginia’s blog I thought nothing would better suit this audience than one of my favorite healthy dessert recipes. Oh, and did I mention it’s completely one of the easiest desserts to make?
So here it is…
…all you need is a banana, your favorite yogurt (I recommend vanilla yogurt for this recipe), and dark chocolate chips (or semi-sweet morsels). Slice your banana length wise like you’re making a banana split. Then scoop on as much yogurt as you like. On top of that sprinkle on a generous helping of some yummy dark chocolate chips. Lift fork. Take bite. Enjoy. Feel good about eating dessert that is actually good for you. Consider having seconds.
Thanks for the opportunity to guest blog, Miss Meet Virginia. And thanks to the Miss Meet Virginia followers for reading this little recipe. I hope you find this recipe to be a simple and healthy way to enjoy a little banana split inspired tastiness on a hot summer day. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention- this is also great with a sprinkle of coconut on top. I think I better go make myself one now.
Thanks, Bethany! That looks so delicious and I am going to be trying that mouthwatering treat ASAP! Make sure you guys all stop by Bethany’s blog, Diary Of A Newlywed, and say hi!
Thank you all so much for your support while I was dealing with my little conflict yesterday. I kept debating if I should even publish the post or not because I felt like I was being a bit of a drama queen. I felt much better after reading all of your comments, tweets, text messages, and emails! Thanks for backing me up and helping me to feel like I wasn’t being too dramatic.
Things got really strange yesterday morning when “Krystal” did indeed change her profile picture – but to a picture of my initials! What in the world.
Thankfully some of you all took notice and reported her to Facebook. I couldn’t do it since I was blocked from her profile, so thank you! The best part – your reports worked and Facebook shut down her profile last night. Ya’ll rock!
While this was definitely a strange (and yes, really creepy) situation, I’ve taken a few things away from it! For example, I need to be smarter about respecting my own privacy. I need to really think twice about the information I share here. You never know who could be reading! I always want to keep things here on Meet Virginia positive, friendly, and upbeat – but if the situation calls for it, I’m not going to be afraid to stand up for myself.
