Just a few of the thoughts running around in my head this afternoon…

  1. Draw Something.  Ever since Christina  blogged about this app last week I have been absolutely hooked.  Seriously, this game was made for me.  If you are playing, leave me a comment with your username!
  2. NOG Run Club.  Loving this new tradition.  Every Monday night, Tir Na Nog – a bar in downtown Raleigh, hosts a big “run club.”  Basically, you sign up (only costs $1) and receive a key fob.  You scan your fob to check in each week, and after 10 runs you get a run club t-shirt.  I think after 25 runs you get a beer mug or something like that.  You also get a map at the beginning of the run with 3, 4, 5, and 6 mile loops mapped out so you can choose how far you want to go.  After the run, Tir Na Nog serves unlimited pasta and salad to runners for just $1.  A cafe nearby also serves $2 smoothies to runners that are seriously the bomb.com – best I’ve ever had.  If you live in Raleigh and like to run, come out to run club next week!
  3. Pelican’s.  Speaking of best I’ve ever had, this weekend I went to Pelican’s SnoBalls for the first time.  Not in the mood for a snow cone, I ordered ice cream – brownie batter and cookie dough.  Excuse me, but that was literally the best ice cream I have ever had in my life.  I do not say that lightly.  Must go back, STAT!
  4. Colored Denim.  Yay or nay?  I feel like I like the idea of it, but not sure that I could make it work.  Have you jumped on board with this fashion trend.  If so, how do you wear it?
  5. Easter Candy.  Truly, I tried to resist, but somehow a bag of Reeses Cups covered in pretty pastel wrappers snuck in my cart at Target yesterday.  Darn, guess I’m going to have to eat them.
  6. Tervis Water Bottle.  Okay, you need this.  I know, I know… who in their right mind pays $20 for a water bottle?  Well, apparently, me.  Seriously though it holds 20 ounces of liquid, keeps your drink cold for hours, and doesn’t sweat.  It never leaves my side.
  7. Somebody That I Used To Know.  Loving this song.

I wish there was a NOG Run Club where I live! That is fabulous! I am loving the colored denim look, but have yet to purchase a pair. I’ve been wanting to get one of those Tervis water bottles! Love that song too!

That running club sounds amazing! Food for $1 is serious motivation…I’m jealous. I’ve never heard of a restaurant doing that. And, I think my username is ashleycsk .:)

  • I haven’t bought colored jeans, but I did buy a pair of colored crop pants at Gap that kind of look like jeans. I haven’t worn the pants yet because it hasn’t been warm enough (I live in Alaska.), but I plan on wearing them with a gray and white striped top that I have, a white/off-white top, or some neutral color. (The pants are a shade of pink–darker pink rather than light pink.) I’ve been wanting a pair of colored jeans, but I just haven’t found ones that I like yet.

  • Um…a lot of things here:

    1. I LOVE Draw something and love playing it with you and all of my friends. Some of the drawings turn out hilarious!

    2. I wish we had a run club with rewards. My gym has a run club but there is no incentive…ha ha.

    3. Those ice cream flavors sound absolutely delicious and now I’m craving the sweet stuff!

    4. I love the idea of colored denim but am not sure if I could pull it off–I’m not gutsy with fashion at all. I live in gym clothes, jeans and cardigans.

    5. I live for seasonal candy. Sure, I eat healthy but a ton of my “splurge food” is in the form of gooey, fruity, sour candy such as jelly beans, starbursts, and skittles.

    6. I’ve never tried a Tervis–just Camelbaks…I’ll have to look into these!

Hey, Laura! I had never heard that song at the end of your post, but I really like it; it’s different. Can’t wait to see you soon. Love, Stac
